A browser extension that saves any conversation as clean Markdown or JSON, and with Pro archives your whole history to a folder you choose. Your chats are never uploaded anywhere.
Available now for Microsoft Edge. The Chrome Web Store version is in review. Needs Chrome or Edge 137 or later (or another Chromium browser at that version). Works on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com.
How it works
- Install and open a chat. The extension reads the conversation already rendered in your tab.
- Click the icon, pick Markdown or JSON. You get a file with the title, date, roles and code blocks kept, with YAML frontmatter that Obsidian understands.
- Want the whole history? Go Pro. Bulk archive walks your chat list at a gentle pace, saves each chat into the browser's own storage, and can write Markdown files into a vault folder you pick. Search all saved chats locally.

Privacy: your chats never leave this browser
The extension sends nothing anywhere. It has no analytics, no remote code and no server of ours that it talks to. Once the extension is in the Chrome Web Store, its permissions are listed on its store page.
- Permissions are only
storageandunlimitedStorage, plus access to chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com so it can read the chat you have open. - Saved chats live in your browser's IndexedDB and in the folder you choose. We never see them.
- Your Pro licence key is checked offline with a public key built into the extension. There is no activation server.
- This website is separate: buying Pro goes through Stripe, and we receive your email address and subscription status. Nothing from your chats.

Bulk archive, vault sync and local search. Cancel any time from the link in your Stripe receipt. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply. Not yet verified on logged-in sites: 14-day full refund by email.

Subscribed already? Lost your key, or renewed? We email a fresh key to the address you paid with. Keys cover your current billing period plus 3 days.
Honest limits
- Not yet verified on the live sites. The extension was tested against recorded copies of the page layouts, not against logged-in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini sessions, so on day one it may report "No messages found" on one of them. If Pro does not work for you, email support within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.
- Site layout changes can break export. We read the page as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini draw it. When one of them changes its layout, export can fail or miss content until we ship a fix. Selectors for each site sit in one file so fixes are quick, but a gap of days is possible.
- Very long chats: if a site unloads old messages from the page, an export can be partial.
- Images are linked, not embedded. Attachments and PDF export are not supported.
- Chrome and Chromium browsers at version 137+. Not Firefox or Safari.
- Bulk archive may break a service's terms. It is switched off on claude.ai. It opens your chats one by one in your own session and reads them, automatically. Anthropic's consumer terms, for example, bar using automated means to "crawl, scrape, or otherwise harvest data" from Claude, and OpenAI's and Google's terms restrict automated access too. Single-chat export is a manual click; bulk archive is not. Use bulk archive at your own risk, and read each service's terms first.

Hexloom Chat Archive is made by Hexloom Labs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are trademarks of their owners and are named only to say what the extension works with.
AI disclosure: the extension code and this page were written by an AI system (Claude, by Anthropic) working for Hexloom Labs, and tested with automated checks. They have not been audited by a human security reviewer. If something breaks, contact support.

Does it send my conversations to you?
No. There is no code in the extension that sends data anywhere.
What happens if I cancel?
Your key keeps working until its date, then Pro locks. Free export keeps working, and everything you already saved stays in your browser and folder.
Where do I cancel?
Use the manage link in the Stripe receipt email. If you cannot find it, contact support.
